Interests: My cats, improv, meditating, Spirit Rock, my friends, family, the continuation of life on this planet, a good plate of penne arrabiata, awakening, yoga, the end of suffering.
Books: The Light Inside the Dark (John Tarrant) Jitterbug Perfume (Tom Robbins) Just about any Buddhist text...I'm drawing a blank....
Teachers: Props to the Buddha, first and foremost. Gil Fronsdal, Jesse Philips, Jack Kornfield, Nina Wise, almost everyone at Spirit Rock.
Movies: The Piano, Holy Smoke, Whale Rider, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless MInd, Walk on the Moon (just to see Viggo Mortensen without a shirt..), Coming Home, The Tempest (Cassavettes)
Music: Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Krishna Das, Al Green, Folk music in general, Ani DiFranco, Jane Siberry, eastmountainsouth, oh icould go on and on
Goals: To fully enjoy this being on earth thing. To be free from constricting fear. To see clearly., On a more mundane level....to get to India next year, to do a 3-month retreat, perhaps to give partnership another shot.
