I'm a special education teacher who has sought refuge in the arms of Esalen during some difficult times. I met the exceptional Albert on a few of those occasions. Esalen leaves its mark on everyone who visits. What I sought and enjoyed was the freedom to just 'BE' when I was there. I needed relief, not expectations, and that was available, as was guidance, to those who sought it. Some of my favorite people are still there, and I think of them often. I used to live down south and I looked and looked for some comparable place down there, but, not finding one, I moved north. There is no other place like Esalen. Thanks for creating this, Albert. It's a beautiful site!
