Hello, 

I grew up in the Midwest, have traveled most of the country, and live in the Southeast now.
Four years ago, I broke free from an abusive relationship that nearly cost me my life.  I met Albert at the beginning of my healing journey. 
What an adventure recovery has been!  I am pleased to share my story because it has a really good ending!  I am also quick to add that anyone else who has been a victim can have a happy ending too.  Anything is possible, one day at a time.
I believe everything happens for a reason.  As I grew away from that dark place, and accepted my own healing ... and walked through my own recovery ... I realized that almost everyone is recovering from something: the loss of a loved one, a serious illness, a financial set-back, a divorce, a car accident, the loss of a job or even a natural disaster.  The exciting part for me is seeing that the same healing techniques that worked for me, can work for others too!
We don't have to be victims.  We can be survivors. 
Today, I am grateful for that terrible thing that happened to me because it forced me to face my own issues.  It pushed me out of those old, comfortable patterns ... that really weren't all that comfortable at all!  I started looking for answers to get me through a rough yesterday and I found answers that lead to a happier, healthier tomorrow.
I look forward to where this healing journey will take me!  I look forward to meeting and learning from all of you!
