Okay, so I quit drinking.  Next step: Gotta quit smoking.  I will be a non-smoker by March 1.

Yes, breathe.  Very good advice.

The ad above is from way back when smoking was still good for you! LOL

Gotta go take Tundra for a walk.

Thanks again. :-)

Congratulations on reaching your goals... Good health, Zen Puppy!

Yes Yeaaahh ! Zen Puppy!  I still think Doctor's would live longer if they smoked cannibis...

Kidding,  sort of.  :)  Of course meditation is superior to alcohal or tobacco.

 Thank you for the support!

And Rob, yes, I see the humor.  (Camels/Cannabis).

When I was young (in the seventies) I remember looking in the mirror and vowing to myself that:

#1. I would never quit smoking pot, and,

#2. I would never stop listening to rock and roll.

Ahhh, the follies of youth. :)

I still listen to rock and roll, although my tastes in music are far more eclectic now, because I also enjoy classical music, jazz, new age, and so much more.

However, as far as cannabis, it now makes me violently sick, for some reason.  The last time I had a couple of hits, I had to immediately lie down, could not even walk, could barely even speak, was extremely sick to my stomach, and spent hours thinking that I was actually going to die.

This effect began for me in my late twenties.  After that, I would occasionally try again, usually at the urging of friends.  The effect was the same each time, only progressively worse.  The last time, which I mentioned above, was about three years ago.  Too bad, because I think it could be such an "ethereal" tool...

I most likely will not ever try again.

Anyway, so at least I still listen to rock and roll.  Though no one calls it that anymore.

And I absolutely have nothing against the use of cannabis -- except for maybe very young kids.  I think that if you're over 21, and you can handle it,  well, put it this way,  in my mind it is not so bad as alcohol!  Definitely not.

However, I do think that driving while under the influence of cannabis should not be allowed.  Just as with alcohol.

Okay, so I have blathered on enough about this.

Gotta go take Tundra for a walk.

:-)

I am not attached to the legalization of it at one level.  I believe and know Meditation is superior to it.  In my youth I was for it.  Now I prefer clarity.

What you described I experienced on brownies.  Dizzyness which I don't like or want.

The only good things about if it gets legalized is 1.  The pushers of other drugs (the same ones used in elder care homes...:)?:)) will not be as easily available to potheads (can I use that word with impunity); 2. It won't have other chemicals on it like pcp which is really really bad for one. And other stuff.   3.   It could help some economies (taxes)  though I hear people are ruining houses to grow it inside.

I think studies have shown it doesn't impair driving but not everyone is the same...so I prefer no one smoke it prior to driving.

Peace Dance and relating (brief conversation)  to one gal last nite was a euphoric for me.

Oh

I wrote this long comment, but decided to delete it because it was so sad, really, and I don't ever want to spread sadness or negativity through or in iThou.

sorry for the deletion.

darn that is the therapy of release needed...then again it is your decision; turns out there is arsenic in the water I have been drinking.  And my neighbor is up early to make noise.  Your presence, zen puppy, counters any negs you might let go of...

here in appalachia i'm starting to feel like i'm in the Donner Party....in the '70's at esalen i was surprised by how many people smoked. Watching the videos of Fritz work/smoke, i can understand why the "open seat" was originally called the "hot seat"

henry glenn – February 6, 2010 – 2:55pm

Rob, you are very kind to say that.

Henry, I hope you've got snow shoes!  Stay warm!
