Here is a project (labor of love) I've been working on (and off) for some time. It probably is interesting only to Big Surophiles and anyone wanting to increase their Nature Literacy. Trees of Big Sur and the Santa Lucia Mountains.
There will alway be more to do on this... I know there are edits, changes, and additions to be made. It seems time to publically "launch" this now so I can give it a rest for a while in the coming 2010.
Hope you enjoy!
Congratulations on a beautiful project, Steven!
...best guide of its kind I've seen...
Wishing you and yours a very happy 2010!
...did I mention that I LOVE TREES? (Then again, who doesn't?)
Thank you Steven, I will bookmark and refer to your wonderful, useful and valuable guide often.
Will you be putting it in print at any time?
It's beautiful. Thank you again.
Plays well with others
Yes I shall study this after I read John's book...this could take awhile...i cannot just read through..I may need a couple more lifetimes...looks wonderful Steve.
Thanks to all for your comments.
The best part of this whole undertaking is how much I learned about things that I thought I already knew. And, like most educational projects... I see more and more how little I know and how much more there is to learn and be curious about.
A clear outcome is that I pay attention to details in trees in a different way (and it has been said that g*d is in the details). So if nothing else, my awareness of that which is other than human has increased... and that, I believe, is healthy.

Congratulations!
