The Wave

We are on a wave. Learning to ride that wave is an art.

Get it wrong and the wave crushes and overwhelms you; every rising peak is taking somewhere you don't want to go, and every plunge is taking you down into darkness and despair.

But get it right, and you are on one hell of a journey. There is no escaping the wave. We ride it daily, from moment to moment. Our ego sours in creative expression and then plunges into painful self-consciousness. And we wonder why? It's the wave. You might hate the ups and downs of consciousness, but it is the nature of consciousness to flow. And any attempt to stop that flow will not stop the wave. It might appear small for a time, but that is because we are over deep water. When we come to the shore -- or close to another person -- then the wave returns with a roar and energy that can scare us out of our wits. But it's just energy. It's just the movement of the wave. It's nothing to be frightened of. In fact, learn to ride the wave and you can trade your fears in for excitement and the joys of uncertainty.

This group is dedicated to understanding the wave, it's dynamics, it's joys, it's challenges. Most importantly, it's about learning to get the best ride possible out of the wave, how be ONE with the wave.

Thank you Zen Puppy and Henry for your loving words.  I'm still learning how to use the website, so I hope a thank you blog is appropriate.

This is the first place I posted my 'introduction'.  I am still learning to use my voice, I guess.   Divine timing, I'm learning to honor the flow.

Thanks again for projecting feelings of safety.  It is such an important gift.

 With love,

Let me begin by saying how wonderful it is to be welcomed into this experiment.  There is a true warmth here that is felt immediately upon viewing.  I have spent quite a bit of time in Big Sur and a weekend at Esalen.  I resonate with this area more than any other place I've been (though New Zealand was like a homecoming as well).

I was actually guided to this site during a meditation.  I heard the words 'online spiritual community'.  I used the search engine and began scrolling down, not feeling drawn to any of them.  At the bottom of this first page sat iThou.org.  I fixed on it and felt a tug.  I clicked on it and, like they say, the rest is history.

I have a rich inner world and even richer dialogue with it.  I feel the grandest part of my life is just beginning.  It is to this end I would like to share a bit more of myself and what I envision our evolution to be.  Thank you for allowing me to do so.
