"North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Il, reportedly had a stroke 10 months ago and analysts believe there may be a plan in place to name his inexperienced 26-year-old son, Kim Jong Un, as the future leader." (These words from Yahoo/By VIJAY JOSHI, Associated Press Writer Vijay Joshi, Associated Press Writer – Sun Jun 14, 2:02 pm

Cheney's homeland security is hard at work undermining the world with it's fear based rhetoric of manipulation and control.

This is where Obama must now lead unencumbered by his VP or Ms Clinton. Make peace with North Korea or let the Chinese handle it now. Having a 27 year old youngster -- a time of great instability in a human's life in charge of Nuclear anything needs to be dealt with.

Cheney and homeland security need never fan the flames of war. But only cool those flames by letting he who was elected reflect loudly and deeply on this now. Perhaps all nations ought to make a commitment to end the very existence of all nuclear weapns on the Earth. The inevitable looms, otherwise.

Though there is a spiritual leader who says we are heading toward a higher age. I know this is so. So the rhetoric or war and violence and weapon manufacturers and even nuclear energy itself must be dispensed with if we can move beyond the fear and aggression of not that long ago.

Get out of trying to control other people's Countries and just let the people in America rule America. Leave Iraq and Afganistan now today completely. Try and jail Rove and Cheney and Rumsfeld and all who created Homeland Security. Even Bush Jr.

Don't let a North Korean nuclear nightmare happen to cover up the sins of the Cheney and his henchmen. They already covered up Enron etc. with 911. Enough is enough. Let there be now peace on Earth.

We the people of the world demand it.

I encourage people to actively promote Gary Zukav for a change on Earth.

I mainly agree.  Except I have one nagging question that just won't go away.  What about the Taliban and their relentless war on women (and others?)  Somewhere, sometime, the insanity of religious extremism has to be managed.

yes

People need to live the heart of their religion

Then they wouldn't  believe the crystalized dogmatic belief systems that stop people from following and knowing their own heart.  Werner Erhart and est, when I participated, spoke of how some Islamic Countries (and perhaps Hindu) don't treat women as equals.  How ironic the Christian Reich, I mean right, seem to do this to their flocks too (not as bad, perhaps).  I know nothing of the Taliban except what I have heard in the media.

War cannot manage extremism; Even Eisenhower said bullets are not the answer.  Things for women have improved all over the world in the last 30 years I think at home and abroad.

And I agree the insanity of religious extremism and the idea of war to solve problems must be managed.

What general axiom would help the whole?

(Perhaps that which Christ did:  "Love one another as I have loved you;" "Love your neighbor as your Self."  (Self in this case defined as Soul);  "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"* is always the highest and best to do.

Would we get bored if there was no conflict.  Is conflict part of the growing of a human to the adult son or daughter?

The axiom is for men and women (and reverse discrimination):  Separativeness (young or old, this religion that religion, etc.) is the only sin.

God is one.  We live in duality.  Surely though ignorance is not bliss.  Those who kill little babies in Islamic Countries at birth because they are a certain sex...is that still going on...is probably what you were saying.  That is the horror of that culture.  But do we have the right to intervene via war?  And our own culture has it's own blind spot.  What are those.  And I of course hate someone for no reason except he is a judas so why do I --so I won't get hurt again or I want "daddy" to know what he did so I won't suffer the consequence of pain undeserved again.  Or they really are an asshole what can you do.  You can't just shoot them.

Forgive me I am trying to look at this from this human's perspective.  As I write each line I see a redneck would just shoot them, in the moment.

So we must use our will not to react is always the best choice.  Which means take your left (negative)  and right (positive) hand and put them together in prayer fashion (neutral) and then meditate in silence until an answer comes.  (From within).  And that silence might be the answer itself sometimes.  Peace out.

...I agree.  But there are so many places where things are NOT better for women.  And surely the Taliban are the most horrendous.  (But there may be others.)  So I'm at a loss.  Where is the line?

About 10 of the lines above are my answer.  People hate Arabs.  We gotta stop hating, job one.

All propaganda numbs the mind and obscures Truth.  (You are making me work Weems!)  :)

Rob G – June 15, 2009 – 11:24am

Absolutely hatred is not the answer.  And yes, this is work.

Yet very fine people sat back and watched the Jews get annihilated, watched Pol Pot murder millions, watched the genocide in Uganda, watched the Taliban crush their women, and watch the janjaweed ravish the people of Darfur.  In Congo rape is epidemic--a weapon of war.

I harbor no hatred, however isn't there (shouldn't there be) some way to stop these kinds of excesses.  Love should.  But has it?  It certainly keeps me from violence.  But how will the love stop the Taliban from violence?

The outcome in Iran will be interesting.

Education, the media these possibly can create the context.  But is it our goal or the people of these places themselves.  Should America or anyone be the policemen of the world.  When the Russians laid down arms and the cold war stopped the people who want and create war were stopped and at a loss were they not?  If we laid down our arms would others follow suit.  Yes.  And even if not our Karma would be better.

The stuff going on in other Countries is not some of that due to who we arm?  For our own selfish agenda.  But I agree there should  (can we use that word here) ought to be something we can do.  As one person I can write to Congress people and such.  But rather than military there are humanitarians who do get involved.  Isn't Mr. Clinton involved in that.

Selfishness, quality of life, overpopulation.  What we give our attention to does that not manifest.  Give our attention to peace and prosperity alone.

Focus on what we want.  What is the highest and best that can be hoped for?  Enough for all.

And it is why I do the great invocation.  It is why I give money to Dennis Kucinich and to my SRF church. For a positive outcome in the world -- for as many as possible.
