I intend to do this and forwarded it.

Rob G – March 28, 2009 – 9:01am

I will be quenching all lights in my little apartment tonight, plunging  it into darkness.......

AnjelaM – March 28, 2009 – 9:06am

Perfect chance to meditate.

It will be interesting to see how much of this city does go dark. My lights will be out of course.

Thanks YogiGypsi, for reminding us of this.

i was thinking about it for three days ... and then i missed it.  i forgot.  by the time i remembered, it was 10:00 pm.

we don't use much electricity here anyway, but it was the gesture, the point, that mattered to me.

Well, there's always next year.  i won't miss it again!

Hi

The exact same thing happened to me!

I thought about it, posted it in my forum and then I was problably the only one of our community who forgot about it!

Best greetings from Vienna, Esther

I got my lights off but my TV wasn't all the way off I discovered; it was in a srot of no man's land no on all the way but not off all the way.  Same with refrigerator etc.  But the lights were off at least.

The good thing is I was doing peace dancing with 13 other people during that time and they had almost all their lights off, someone finally unplugged the x-mas lights inside (all white)...

The outward symbol is nice.  Real positive change will take more work I think.  Could be happy work.

thou art that

Thanks all…who participated “in action” or “in-spirit”.  Yes, the reality of this gesture is simply a voice, a stance, a call for action into change on a global political level.  And, just as importantly, to be a part of a “global community” in echoing out this voice—to salvage, protect, restore, and nurture our planet.  Which happens to be our only sanctuary.
