I played my first open mic at The Utah in San Francisco... It was Monday night, a really last minute thing. My friend Chip called me up and told me to head over there because he was putting my name on the list. I was called up and didn't know it was being recorded.
Here is the song you all have been seeing evolve. At least the lyrics. It's still really rough and I'm using the house guitar so I apologize for the sour notes. I thik it drags a little and needs a bridge, but at least it has a title now.
Enjoy!!
Thanks for being there!

First steps can often be the hardest... courageous of you to get up there and belt out your song with a house guitar no less. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I think it so brave of you to go in cold and sing and play guitar- I have so much admiration that you did that.
So what did you think post song- were you pleased- did you get a lot of positive feed back?
Look forward to following your success......Anjela
I got a lot of feedback from the host of the open mic and many others. However, I know I have performed better in my living room many times. lol
But I guess for my first time, I shouldn't be that harsh. I think the song needs more work.
Thanks for your encouragment guys!
To me you seem so brave to be able to just put yourself out there like that. I, myself, can't even record my outgoing voicemail greeting without correcting and redoing it over and over again, at least 20 times, (no exaggeration!). I admire you and envy you for being able to just get up there and do it! Improv or not, you were GREAT!

Thanks!
