I will sometimes read this poem to my groups... I like hearing it read... and how you read it.

And Steven, I had a very hard time today. I went back to the Green Gulch trails. Remember, last time I said how I had the feeling the Earth was already healed and perfect and clean when I saw this beautiful part of the world for the first time. Well, today, it was VERY depressing. All the Beaches were closed because of the oil spill desaster of last week. It was devastating to me and my friend. These are the things that keep me up at night!

This oil business is infiltrating all of our lives and our wildlife.

Time to find a different mode of transporting the  slick stuff-other than by sea.

The spill is sad... an perhaps these are the things that should be keeping us up at night... imagining a better path and then the courage to create change by stepping in a different direction... like the courage this poem speaks to.

and stop driving altogether and work locally. That was my thought yesterday.
