Albert Wong's picture

beginnings of the formulations of vision

7
loves

been sitting with this vision-for-the-site thing...
and honestly...
it is coming to me only partially
and mostly in the form of incomplete pictures, not words...
poetry, not prose...
so hard to capture life-love-spirit
and put it into a bottle,
so here is a picture of sorts...
an imperfect beginning...
that itself is only part of what is...
and not even...

but here we are simply
trying to ride the wave
of what
this becoming
is to be...

I can touch the edges of this vision,
smell it textures,
hear its colors,
see its sounds,
taste its complex simplicity, and
feel its gritty gentle soul

gratitude for visionary,
tao flavored
born-again gestaltist leadership
guiding this
experiment of art
in motion...
in becoming...

Your creation - our creation - evolves from a visionary belief in what is good and right and constructive in the world and in our souls.

This is a platform that evokes what is best in us to share, to support, to be supported in safety and artistry.

We are privileged to see a deep reflection of beauty in word, image, sight and sound and feel the resonant heartbeat of the circle.

Honor describes this in a word.

Namaste.

That was really nice...the drawing that seemed to tie it all together -- your vision for this site is very beautiful.

I see balloons and an onion with many layers... I felt several times inclined to ask you this but then was hesitant... is there any way we can contribute some money for you for all your hard work on this? Like a donation? Everybody gives what they feel like? Via Google checkout?

It's funny Albert, when you invited me to join the community I was immediately struck by how much of the spirit of Esalen pervaded this online space. As an "internet/tech refugee" I can tell you that what makes this site so special is the love and devotion you have given to it. In the posts and responses I can see what a powerful impact it is having.

Like Esalen there is a sense that it is living, and evolving. It will twist and turn in ways that we can't imagine - yet. Thanks so much for putting so much out here.

Namaste,

-Bill-

Are there any psychadelics (metaphorically)? Am I missing the academicians (and passionate advocates)? It seems pretty safe here (yes, I feel some conflict in this diverse membership)--it is easy to login and logout. Does the blogging really take risks?

Is this a time for safety and structure?

Warmly,

Michael

I think the paypal thing was excellent and easy to execute in terms of people who could and would contribute .....Are you planning on putting it up again on the sidebar? It was fun to see as a community how we could help (a bit) and in return it is such a great place to come and be.

i'm enjoying the offerings of noetic based "shift in action". today's interview was esalen friends steven dinan and marilyn schlitz, and in a couple weeks, some "upstart" named michael murphy. appreciation to i Thou
