Albert~

I just finished a two month run of a play called Dainty Shapes and Hairy Apes tonight. What a joy to come home and find a interview like this to wake up and listen to before going and facilitating the gestalt group tomorrow. Thank you very much!

Oh my! My heart is melting. Thank you Albert, for making this possible. Thank you John for rememering my photographs from Esalen in the 1960s. I do believe a few of them are interesting. <-;

I found the interview inspirational and life-changing.

Hi John! May I have your email so I can send you a photo of you and Stuart and Jane?

Monika, I'm trying to think of a way to show you some of the photographs. I'm sure you don't want to see all 1000. I'm getting the best ones ready for publication, and gathering permissions from the people in the photos. Probably the next step is finding a literary agent.

Watch ithou.org for further info, or if you want, let me know your email and I will keep in touch. I'm pamwalatka@yahoo.com or reachable through my website wildhorses.com. Thank you for your interest.

I actually would love to see all 1000.  After having published 4 books I know what a drag it is to get copyrights etc. Perhaps you can email me a few that you like. I won't forward. Email is soundofspiritATgmail.com

Hi again Pam,

Thanks for communicating with me offline. I love your website and hope to come to your yoga classes soon. I have some original pictures of the Om Conference (which took place I believe in 1976 - I have the date but don't recall it now) at Esalen. They are pictures Heinz von Foerster owned and they include many of the famous Esalen people like Alan Watts. I also have a transcript (print) of the entire conference. Hope to meet you in person soon. Monika

Somehow, I hadn't taken the time before to listen to this. Now I have, and am so glad I did.

So much of his experience that he talks about is so recognizable.

Albert, it's very good. Of real value. Makes me reflect.

Thank you so much for doing this.

  Totally Committed

I give thanks for unknown blessings already on the way

We were doing some good stuff on this site back then and Albert's interviews were key. Such good work!

Authenticity Heals....

Dorothy T – May 26, 2010 – 10:17pm

Our Esalen teachers are passing away. It is sad, as Dorothy wrote.

It makes having some recordings even more important. and underscores the value of ackhowledging and retaining and carrying on Dick's work, as well as that of others.

I give thanks for unknown blessings already on the way

sorry to hear about the loss

listened to Albert's interview fully

What a great interview.  I am so glad I took the time to listen to it.  I have not heard John's voice in forty plus years and still recognize his spirit. I loved the part about credit cards, debt, and slavery. It was something I discovered decades ago, thanks in part to depression era parents, and I made a discipline of eliminating debt in the 1980s.  That has allowed me a time of peace and freedom, in my senior years, that I never experienced in earlier years.  I owe a few hundred dollars at any given time, have paid off my house, and my daily practice is live life at the level that I can afford, not the level I want to afford.
