Been reading a few pages of a great book by Sam Keen called Fire in the Belly.  

Pages 220 to 223 have really hit home.  

It begins:  "Marriage is: an aphrodisiac for the mature; a great yoga; a discipline of incarnate love; a task that stretches a man and a woman to the fullest; a drama inwhich a man and woman must gradually divest themselves of their archetypes and stereotypes and come to  love each other as perfectly flawed individuals."  (Cool eh).

Spent a nice 2 days at Esalen for a personal retreat last Sun. and Mon. nite.  I think maybe Stan Grof was there at the same time who is probably the 1st or 2nd Esalen leader I ever experienced but didn't see him or Steve Harper who may also have been present there.  I did see Daniel that was cool.  People were all very nice.  Met many new people.   Hot tub was the highlight this time especially the women I spoke with.  Massage was good but slept though it and I was sort of out of it.   Bonfires at nite with Michael Murphy's son and his friends was a major highlight for me too.  On the road Since Thurs./Fri last.

I think he was the genuine being and Enlightened.

I bow my head in reverence for who he was.

(Nag Champa remains my favorite incense!  Strangely it was totally sold out when I tried to get it at Shopping Cart a few days ago!)

I think most of the people involved travel around the country going to burning man, shasta events, mexican events, hawaiian events, various California events like Earthdance which I have never attended.

So hi all from Rob -- miss you.

Major change may be coming.

If anyone reads this at 7:35p.m.  tonite Mon. night Meditation where I live with usually 8 others aprox...please join in!  They chant for15 minutes or so beforehand then 20 minutes of silence.

"The reformer is the greatest impediment to true change."  -- Jiddu Krishnamurte. 

Looking at this sentence for awhile one could probably introspect for many years to truly get it. 

Change is the contant of the universe; is all change good?  Was Krishnamurte speaking politically.  Or in all ways.  

My first thought is he was speaking that a reformer could recreate something thus disappearing it. 

Resistence causes persistence. 

So my guess is meditate in silence for the best outcome for anything

Supreme God Context Consciousness Bliss Ecstacy in charge makes Heaven on Earth and in earth and in us. 

Another definition of Earth is Light (upwardly redeemed matter). 

Therefore silence/stillness comes best into this world the more we sit in silence.

I hope we can all meditate together at 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. for the Wesak Full Moon.  I'll be here.
