Esalen
Greetings. Welcome to the group, "Esalen" -- for people who have lived, worked, and/or studied at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California.
For many of us who lived there, the time was rich, full, and extraordinary. For all people who have been touched by the spirit of the place, it is sometimes challenging to keep that spirit alive in the world outside the support of the container of Big Sur and Esalen.
This place is intended to become that supportive ground for people who have been moved by the spirit of the place, but who no longer, possibly, have immediate access to the special and sacred space of Esalen.
Everyone who has been moved by the spirit of Esalen, I believe, becomes, in their own way, an ambassador for a new way of thinking, feeling, and being in the world. May we carry on the torch and help bring truth, authenticity, love, and light for now and future generations.

Note: We are having monthly global Esalen weather reports in the Big House on the first Sunday of the month at 1:30PM, Pacific Time. All people who have lived, worked or studied at Esalen are welcome to join. Check the events calendar for a full listing of scheduled weather reports, open seats, or visiting teacher programs.

Returned from the Serpent Mound (Ohio) this afternoon....before leaving camp, I had a message from a spider named 'Charlotte'...."Weave the right web, and you will capture your Dreams".....
This evening, I have found myself in a very Synchronistic Moment. While watching XMEN, I randomly opened pg. 222, America & the Religion of No Religion (Kripal); Chapter: The Serpent Spine of Spirit and Sex
The photo on pg. 223, fig. 19: Don Hanlon Johnson with Charlotte Selver and Charles Brooks.

This past week I spent exploring the coastline from LA all the way to Mt. Shasta. I did not post an affirmation, instead I affirmed my oneness with nature and immersed myself in the majestic coastal wilderness. It was beautiful to reconnect with nature, and of course I paid a visit to Esalen on my way through Big Sur.
This Week's Affirmation is: Nature never hurries. Atom by atom, little by little she achieves her work. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Another Bright and Beautiful Day here in the Land Afar….(Cleveland…hahahaha)

This Week's Affirmation is: Thank you universe, for fulfilling my expectations, and realizing my intentions.
This particular affirmation is one that I composed years ago when I was first learning about the power of expectations from Dr. Wayne Dyer, as well as exploring the use of affirmations.

Aho!
For the past few days my mind has been in what I call a ‘Spiral’. As the journey West comes nearer; doubt, excitement, nervousness and acute Awareness pervade my being.
This Week's Affirmation is: I live in an abundant world.
This Week's Affirmation is: Today I live with intention and grow closer to my human potential.
For me, today was a productive day packed with positive intentions and fulfillment. It is important to choose to live with intention everyday so that we may actively carve out our own future with our present intentions, and make everyday a day of growing/learning. Deplorably I almost overlooked my intention to share a weekly affirmation, which is a part of my personal human potential development.
Have a Mooontastic Weekend Everyone!Monica Ann Eastway – May 4, 2012 – 5:39am
